  5. Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium-high heat.
  6. Scoop 1/4 cup of batter onto the griddle for each pancake.
  7. Cook until the tops are bubbly and the edges are dry, then flip and cook until golden.
  8. Serve with butter and syrup.
