Classic Eggs Benedict Recipe 🍳
Eggs Benedict is a classic breakfast dish made up of two halves of an English muffin, topped with Canadian bacon, a poached egg, and hollandaise sauce. It may seem intimidating to make but with this recipe, you’ll be able to create the perfect breakfast in no time.
Ingredients: 🛒
- 4 English muffins, split and toasted
- 8 slices Canadian bacon
- 8 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons white vinegar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3 egg yolks
- 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Pinch of cayenne pepper
Directions: 🔪
- In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
- In a blender, blend together the egg yolks, lemon juice, salt, and cayenne pepper until well combined.
- While blending, slowly pour in the melted butter until the sauce is thick and creamy.
- Fill a large saucepan with water and bring to a simmer. Add the white vinegar.
- Crack an egg into a small bowl, then gently slide the egg into the simmering water.
- Repeat with the remaining eggs, cooking each for about 3 minutes or until the whites are set and the yolks are still runny.
- Place two English muffin halves on each plate, top each half with a slice of Canadian bacon, followed by a poached egg.
- Drizzle the hollandaise sauce over the eggs and garnish with chives or parsley, if desired.
