  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out half of the pie crust dough and place it into a 9-inch pie plate.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together the sliced apples, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  4. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat and add the apple mixture. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Stir in the flour and lemon juice and cook for another 2 minutes.
  6. Pour the apple mixture into the prepared pie crust and dot with butter.
