Chocolate Lava Cakes Recipe

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F. Grease 4 ramekins.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and chocolate together in 20-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth.
  3. Stir in powdered sugar until smooth.
  4. Add in eggs and egg yolks, one at a time, stirring after each addition, then add vanilla extract and stir until smooth.
  5. Add flour and salt and stir until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared ramekins, filling them about 3/4 of the way full.
  7. Bake for 13-15 minutes, until the edges are firm but the centers are still jiggly.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool for 1 minute before carefully flipping the cakes onto a plate.
  9. Serve warm, topped with ice cream or fresh berries.
