Jamaican Jerk Chicken Recipe

Ingredients
- 4 chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon dried thyme
- 1 tablespoon ground allspice
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon ground ginger
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 2 habanero peppers, stem and seeds removed
Directions
- In a food processor, blend together the olive oil, soy sauce, lime juice, brown sugar, thyme, allspice, cinnamon, black pepper, ginger, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and habanero peppers until smooth.
- Pierce the chicken breasts several times with a fork and place them in a large zip-lock bag. Add the marinade and coat the chicken well. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or up to overnight.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the excess marinade.
- Grill the chicken for about 6-7 minutes per side or until browned and cooked through.
- Serve immediately with rice and beans or roasted vegetables.
