Seafood Paella Recipe 🍤🐙🦐
This Seafood Paella recipe is a classic Spanish dish that's perfect for a special occasion or a weekend dinner. Loaded with seafood such as shrimp, mussels, and squid, it's sure to impress your guests or family. Plus, it's easy to make and can be ready in under an hour!
Ingredients:
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 cups of short-grain rice
- 1/2 cup of white wine
- 3 cups of chicken broth
- 1 pinch of saffron threads
- 1 red bell pepper, chopped
- 1 teaspoon of paprika
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1 pound of shrimp
- 1 pound of mussels, cleaned
- 1 squid, cleaned and cut into rings
- 1/4 cup of fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 lemon, sliced into wedges
- Olive oil
Instructions:
- In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet, and sauté for 2-3 minutes, or until the onion is translucent.
- Add the chopped red bell pepper to the skillet, and cook for another 2-3 minutes, or until the pepper is tender.
- Add the short-grain rice to the skillet and stir to coat in the oil and vegetables, cooking for 2-3 minutes.
- Pour in the white wine, chicken broth, saffron threads, paprika, salt, and black pepper into the skillet, stirring well and bringing it to a boil.
- Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 10 minutes, or until the rice is partially cooked.
- Place the cleaned shrimp, mussels, and squid on top of the rice, cover the skillet with a lid, and cook for another 10 minutes or until the rice is fully cooked and the seafood is tender and cooked through.
- Sprinkle chopped parsley on top of the paella and serve with lemon wedges on the side.
