Classic Spaghetti and Meatballs Recipe

Ingredients:
- 1 pound spaghetti
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- Salt and pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 jar tomato sauce
- 1/4 cup red wine
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh oregano
- Shaved Parmesan cheese for garnish
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- In a bowl, mix together the ground beef, egg, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic, salt, and pepper. Form the mixture into golf ball-sized balls.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add the meatballs to the skillet and cook until browned on all sides, about 10 minutes in total.
- Transfer the meatballs to a baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until cooked through.
- Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti according to package instructions.
- In the same skillet used for the meatballs, add the jar of tomato sauce, red wine, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Cook for 10 minutes, or until heated through.
- Place a serving of spaghetti onto each plate, top with meatballs and sauce. Garnish with shaved Parmesan cheese.
