Creamy Tomato Soup Recipe

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add the onions and garlic, and sauté until softened.
  3. Pour in the crushed tomatoes and vegetable broth, and bring it to a simmer.
  4. Allow it to cook for about 10 minutes.
  5. Remove the soup from heat and let it cool slightly.
  6. When it's cooled, blend it in a blender until it is smooth.
  7. Return the soup to the pot and stir in the heavy cream and chopped basil leaves.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Simmer for another 5 minutes until it’s heated through.
  10. Serve hot and enjoy!
