Chinese Dumplings Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 pound of ground pork
- 1 cup of finely chopped napa cabbage
- 3 green onions, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp grated fresh ginger
- 1 clove minced garlic
- 1 package of round dumpling wrappers
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, mix together ground pork, napa cabbage, green onions, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, ginger and garlic to create the filling for the dumplings. Mix well.
- To assemble the dumplings, fill each wrapper with 1 tablespoon of filling. Use water to wet the edges of the wrapper, then fold in half and pinch the edges to seal.
- In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add the dumplings and cook for 3-4 minutes or until the dumplings float to the surface.
- Remove the dumplings with a slotted spoon and serve with soy sauce or any desired dipping sauce.
