Japanese Ramen Soup

Ingredients:
- 1 pound ramen noodles
- 6 cups chicken or vegetable broth
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon minced ginger
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon miso paste (optional)
- 1 cup sliced shiitake mushrooms
- 4 soft boiled eggs
- 1 cup sliced green onions
- 1 cup bean sprouts
- 1/2 cup bamboo shoots
- Nori sheets for garnish
Instructions:
- In a large pot, bring the chicken or vegetable broth to a boil.
- While waiting for the broth to boil, cook the ramen noodles according to package instructions.
- In a separate pan, heat the vegetable oil and sesame oil over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and ginger and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the sliced shiitake mushrooms and sauté for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Add the sautéed mushrooms, soy sauce, and optional miso paste to the boiling broth.
- Reduce heat and let the broth simmer for 5-10 minutes to allow the flavors to blend.
- Divide the cooked ramen noodles among four bowls.
- Pour the hot broth over the noodles.
- Garnish each bowl with a soft boiled egg, sliced green onions, bean sprouts, bamboo shoots, and nori sheets.
