Jalapeno Poppers Recipe
Spice up your appetizer game with these delicious jalapeno poppers, filled with cream cheese and bacon bits.
Ingredients:
- 12 fresh jalapeno peppers
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/4 cup bacon bits
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg, beaten
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cut off the stem end of each jalapeno, then slice in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes. Wear gloves to avoid irritation from the peppers.
- Combine the softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, bacon bits, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper in a bowl.
- Stuff the jalapeno halves with the cream cheese mixture.
- Dip each jalapeno popper into the beaten egg, then coat with breadcrumbs.
- Arrange the jalapeno poppers on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown and crispy.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
